For over 25 years, John Haime, as a renowned human performance coach, has prepared some of the leading amateur and professional athletes in the world to go beyond where they believed they could go.
Prominent performers in the sports and corporate world have trusted John and his team to look after their performance and wellness needs. He is the Author of two best-selling books on performance and wellness (You are a Contender! and Ride Big!).
And, John doesn’t just talk and theorize about the area of performance and wellness, he has lived it and lives in it every day. He is a former tournament professional golfer with professional wins and day-by-day helps clients perform at extraordinary levels. He is passionate about helping young Mindflix visitors redefine what strength means in sport.
Gus Ayoub has experience in sport and knows the needs of athletes from a history of working in professional sports to coaching athletes.
He has excelled in sales and fundraising through his career, raising millions for worthy recipients…and was a key contributor to the NHL’s Ottawa Senators growing a new brand and helping to fill an National Hockey League arena.
His invaluable experience and entrepreneurial mind brings value to Mindflix and the vision of redefining a new strength in sport.
Rolf is a Toronto-based mental performance consultant who has a passion for helping to build athletes and team cultures in ways that foster optimism, collaboration, self-awareness and a growth mindset.
He brings 20 years of experience working with athletes at all levels. Among his professional experience, Rolf spent 7 years working within the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network (COPSIN), where he provided mental performance consulting services to Olympic and Paralympic athletes, in addition to overall wellness and career consulting as part of Game Plan – a total athlete wellness program.
Rolf’s professional expertise is also informed by his own athletic experiences as a former internationally competitive sailor. He is excited to contribute to helping athletes redefine what strength means through the Mindflix platform.
Waneek has overcome discrimination and violence to emerge as one of North America’s most inspiring female Indigenous speakers and Ambassadors, with a compelling perspective and story to share.
Waneek is an advocate for building indigenous sport, working with the Assembly of First Nations to develop their sport, fitness and health strategy. Drawing on her experiences as the former co-captain of Canada’s Olympic women’s water polo team, Waneek shares her story and teaches young people how to build self-esteem and critical performance and wellness skills through a balance of education and sport. She is a former Olympian, gold medal winner in the Pan-Am games and former Chef de Mission for Team Canada. The Canadian Association for Women and Sport recently named Waneek one of Canada’s most influential women in sport.
Through the Mindflix platform, she will assist young athletes to redefine what strength means in sport.
Carla is a Sports Psychiatrist and High Performance Mental Health Advisor. She is the President of the International Society for Sports Psychiatry. The society develops the field of sports psychiatry and advocates for mental health and wellness in sports. She also holds leadership positions with Safe Sport international working group, the Canadian football league mental health program and the NCAA Mental Health Advisory Group. She obtained her medical degree from Memorial University and completed her psychiatry residency at McMaster University. Carla is a former athlete having the opportunity to excel in varsity volleyball in University. She is excited to help Mindflix athletes redefine what strength means in sport.
Gilmore Junio is a 3-time Olympian who has won 12 World Cup medals over the course of his career, including seven in the 500m and five in the team sprint. He became internationally known for his remarkable display of sportsmanship and being a team player at the Sochi Olympics in 2014 when he gave his spot in the 1000m to teammate Denny Morrison, who had missed qualifying in that event after a fall at the Olympic trials. Morrison went on to win silver, a medal the two teammates celebrated together.
Gilmore is passionate about helping athletes redefine what strength means in sport through his work on the Mindflix platform.
Roberto Filho guides the creative direction of the Mindflix platform with over 15 years of experience as a front-end developer. In his role as the Creative Director & New Media Technical Artist at iWEBAPP Agency, he specializes in crafting tailored solutions that prioritize user-friendly design and seamless functionality. He has led and actively contributed to application and design and production campaigns serving start-ups and established international businesses. He is excited about offering innovative insights to Mindflix, pushing boundaries and creatively contributing to redefining strength in sport for the Mindflix audience.
